1st place

The first prize of EUR 7,500 went to ‘Sisterhood Pathways’ from Lithuania.

The project aims to end violence against women in the Baltic states. It raises awareness of the issue through art, interviews, local workshops, international events and a social media campaign. Sisterhood Pathways offers a platform for victims and experts alike, promotes social inclusion and community participation, and makes relevant knowledge and strategies accessible to a wide audience. Because everyone should know how to prevent violence against women.

2nd place

The second prize, worth €5,000, went to the French initiative ‘Penser, agir et plaider ensemble pour ne laisser aucun.e jeune de côté’ (in English: ‘Think, act and stand up together so that no young person is left behind’).

The initiative promotes solidarity among young people across Europe who experience poverty and exclusion on a daily basis. It gives them the opportunity to make their voices heard and stand up for change. Language and geographical barriers are irrelevant. There is room for topics such as harassment, discrimination, isolation, unemployment and barriers to education. Participants share their experiences and discover that they are not alone in facing certain problems.

3rd place

The third prize, worth EUR 2,500, went to Europe Magazine, an Instagram account from Germany that presents complex social issues in maps, infographics and statistics. Europe Magazine uses visual journalism to convey information on politics, culture, the environment and society in a simple and understandable way.
