1st place

1st prize: Germany - European Archive of Voices

The first prize went to the German project European Archive of Voices. It collects oral historical testimonies from people born before 1945.

2nd place

2nd prize: Franc

Second place went to the project by the French collective for a European voluntary social service, a movement of young people who want to enable all young Europeans to do a European voluntary social service, during which they can gain experience both in their own country and in another EU Member State. In this way, the collective aims to respond to the major social challenges facing the Union, in particular the environmental and climate emergency, while laying the foundations for active European citizenship.

3rd place

3rd prize: United Kingdom - The Future is Europe

British citizen Madeleina Kay was awarded third prize for her project ‘The Future is Europe’. In 2019, she travelled through the (then) 28 member states of the EU. With her ‘EU Supergirl Tour’, she wanted to promote a European sense of community, report on activists fighting for the future of Europe, and lead the discussion on what lessons Europe must learn from Brexit in order to combat rising populism in the member states. The project resulted in a book, a music video and a documentary film.
