Text of the Certificate of Honour

On Ascension Day, 9th May 2024, in the Coronation Hall of the Town Hall on the site of the former Imperial Palace, the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen was awarded to Chief Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt and the Jewish people in Europe as a signal against anti-Semitism, violence and hate, for tolerance, dialogue and understanding, and in affirmation of Jewish life as a natural part of Europe.
