Text of the certificate

On Ascension Day, 9 May 2024, the International Charlemagne Prize of Aachen was awarded to Chief Rabbi Pinchas Goldschmidt and the Jewish communities in Europe in the Coronation Hall of Aachen City Hall, the former imperial palace, as a signal against anti-Semitism, violence and hatred, for tolerance, dialogue and understanding and as a sign that Jewish life in Europe is a matter of course.
